Location
This picture was taken in Jim Corbett National Park, India. I'm a self taught photographer, so every new shot taken is like a new lesson learnt.Time
This is probably one of my favourite portraits. I remember we went out for our afternoon jungle safari whole jungle was quite not even the sound of birds and around 3 PM at a crossroad we saw this majestic beauty walking on the road and heading towards us. Had no tripod setup or anything so i tried to balance the camera and did my best i could. It was one of my best afternoon. This photo was taken on January 17, 2018 at 15:48 Hrs.Lighting
I wanted this image to look little aggressive yet pleasing to the eyes which draw the viewer in it. there was plenty of direct sunlight coming from against the camera as we were facing the sun but that helped in illuminating the beautiful coat of this cat and the colour were radiating from it.Equipment
This was shot on a Canon 7D mark1, with an 18-135mm lens. No other equipment was involved.Inspiration
I wildlife photography what i have learnt is either you go hard or you go home. Everything just happens so quickly in seconds that you hardly get to plan your shot, all you have to do is to be ready with your equipment with your desired setting and hit the shutter at the right time to get your desired shot.Editing
Usually i like to keep my photos as close as how it was taken but you need to do some white balance and colour correction for better results. In my camera bag
After shifting to Sony from Canon, now I usually travel with my Sony A6000 body along with 16-55mm and 55-210mm lens and some additional battery. I'm liking the way this behaves in jungle specially when i need more fps and soother spam overall liking my new setup.Feedback
Patience Patience and a lot of patience, Sighting a tiger in it natural environment is not a cakewalk. It requires a lot of patience and your love and dedication towards nature and animal. Since, everything happens so quickly in realtime inside the jungle sometime you will hardly get to see the animal for few seconds and sometime you will gets couple of minutes to get your desired shot but the key point which everyone should always keep in mind is to adjust your desired camera settings and always keep your camera on standby because you won't get many chances.
