Behind The Lens

Location
This image was taken in my home studio.
Time
Mid day.
Lighting
I used two continuous lights with umbrellas, placed on either side and slightly behind me.
Equipment
I used my Nikon D5200, Nikkor 35mm lens, Pro-Line tripod, and two LimoStudio continuous lights with umbrellas.
Inspiration
I decided to quit smoking earlier this year. I had made multiple attempts in the past, but they never seemed to work. This time I tried adding in new methods, one of which was creating an image that would serve as a reminder of why I wanted to quit. The next step was to share the image across social media to serve as a measure of accountability. I am now 75 days smoke free.
Editing
Since I took the image while I was starting to quit smoking, I couldn't actually smoke in the image. This final image is a composite piece.
In my camera bag
Two camera bodies, five lenses, and my external flash. Along with other odds and ends.
Feedback
If you want to work on compositing, practice, practice, and practice!
