AKA "OBT" - Orange (Starburst) Baboon Tarantula
(UMV - Usambra Mountain "Red" Color Variant.)
Adult Female. One of my personal longest lived Tarantulas, I raised her from a baby, Her Name was Kiken. She.. was Absolutely EVIL !! But, I loved her.
I often make photo adjustments here and there, Saturation boost, White Balance correct etc. But, This Image Was Not Edited, AT ALL!
An old photo with one of my favorite lenses.
Photographed with EF 50mm 2.5 & 1:1 converter.
Lighting was key for this photo tho, I used a Studio Strobe with white umbrella. Extremely Diffuse Flash is best when trying to bring out the reflective-defracive colors in the oils of Tarantulas and invert hair and skin.
Sharpness of those Eyes! And the vibrance of color.. Whoa.. This image Still Impresses me!
