Inspired by the image of my encounter with the Macaw earlier in the day, I decided to go back to where I found the wild birds to try another shot. This one a straight looking at camera close up. I wasn't sure if it would work as these are wild animals and didn't expect them to stay still for long enough. However, by the fourth attempt I got my image, this is how it turned out. I love the way the bird looks straight down the lens and the vivid colours of its feathers.
