One of my favorite photo's!
If you look closely... this leaf fell at some point overnight during winter storm Grayson in Eastern North Carolina, but because of the winds, the freezing rain - sleet and bitter cold temperatures it froze to this twig on the way down.
(NOTE) - There were no branches or twigs near this one. This leaf is (not attached) to anything above!
After the ice ended, we got 6 inches of snow, some of which this little leaf collected after adhering to this twig mid fall. As a storm chaser; I think it's just spectacular; a one in a million. I absolutely love this shot, and I'm quite proud of it.
