Location
This is a photo of the Meridian Bridge. It is an old road double decker bridge made into a bike and pedestrian bridge in Yankton, SD. It is all steel and spans the Missouri River between Yankton, SD and NE. The photo was taken at dusk just after the lights came on. The left side is of the hand rail on the bridge. This is near the NE side looking towards SD. It is the lower level of the double decker bridge. I converted it to Black and White.Time
This was taken at dusk in the Springtime.Lighting
All natural light and the light from the bridge lights.Equipment
I rested my camera on the handrail of the bridge, using my Canon t3i and my 35mm Sigma 1.4 art lens.Inspiration
The lines in this picture and the geometric patterns are what inspired me to take this picture.Editing
I did some post processing in lightroom and converted it to black and white. In my camera bag
I carry most of my equipment with me in my think tank airline travel backpack, two kit lens, a flash, mini tripod, monopod, extra batteries, filters, and sd cards. My 35mm sigma art lens 1.4 is almost always on my T3i canon camera. I can carry my laptop in my think tank too.Feedback
Use your lines to your advantage. Get your lighting right, have fun!
