I absolutely love how you played with the focus on this. I’d be grateful to hear more about the way you went about it. Fantastic capture!

Location
The photo has been taken at my friends home in her bedroom.Time
The picture has been taken right before dusk with the last available light. She layed on the bed with her feet directing to the window and the head (not visible in the picture) towards the camera. The picture was one of the last pictures taken during the shooting.Lighting
All my pictures inclusive this one are taken with available light and without an additional light source. We shut the window with a curtain until only a space of 15cm was remaining open. That lightning conditions are perfect for focusing on only parts of the body and create an interesting look.Equipment
I used my Sony A7 with a Leica Summicron 50 (with an additional close focus adapter for Leica M-Mount to Sony E-Mount). No additional equipment is used.Inspiration
My friend has a really amazing body. She train very hard and asked me to take pictures of her. With this picture I wanted to focus on her amazing body, especially on her piercing at the belly.Editing
I converted the picture into black and white in Adobe Lightroom. No additional post processing has been carried out.In my camera bag
I minimized my equipment to only two cameras (one digital and one analog) and a set of three lenses. For digital shots I use my Sony A7 and for analog stuff I use a Leica M6. On both cameras I use the same two lenses a Summicron 50mm prime lens from Leica and a Nokton 35mm prime lens from Voigtländer. For the Sony I own additionally a 70-200mm Tamron zoom lens.Feedback
I recognized that during my shootings that the contact between you and your subject is key. If the contact between both persons does not work there will never emerge real and natural photos. It is also necessary to play with window light and the different options you have with such a light. You can shoot on a complete open window or you can close the window with a curtain until a small space is left open. Only with this parametera hugh amount of possibilities arise for the shooting.
