Field of Valor

The Field of Valor is a tribute to the fallen heroes (since 9-11-11) from the State of Florida who have died in support of the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Each flag bears the name of the serviceman or woman who gave their life.

The flags stand for a week in September every year near my home in Florida. Airmen and soldiers from the local military bases stay with the flags. It is very sad and, I feel, signifies so very much a waste of lives. It needs to end.
