There were babies in the birdhouse. Both Daddy and Mama Bluebird were constantly busy, going back and forth bringing a variety of insects and worms to the voracious babies. They had turns feeding the babies. One would be out hunting, the other would be at the house feeding the babies.

The eastern bluebird (Sialia sialis) is a small bird found in open woodlands, farmlands, and orchards. The diet of an adult consists of insects and other invertebrates, wild fruits, andberries. (Info from Wikipedia)
