Location
I took this photo in El Arrecife de las Sirenas, located in Cabo de Gata, Almería (Spain).Time
About 11:00 am in the morning, January 2017Lighting
I love this place, it seems magical, and that's why I wanted to express with this photo. I order to give that touch of fantasy I used neutral density filters, to make a long exposure photograph and so capture the silky texture of the sea. And also I added another filter with a purple gradient to the filter holder.Equipment
Camera: Canon Eos 1100D Lens: Canon 18-55mm Tripod: Yes (a cheaper one) No flash. ISO 200, f/32, 1.6sInspiration
I am learning Daytime Long Exposure Photography, I think this a great technique which helps you to show the beauty of nature. And this place is one of my favourites in my city.Editing
In Camera Raw, I simply modified the color temperature, to enhance the purple color, also the parameters of levels and curves. Then in Photoshop, to enhance lights and shadows, I used the tools dodge and burnIn my camera bag
My Camera and lens 18-55mm and 50mm.Feedback
My advice is for people who, like me, can not invest large amounts of money in equipment: Use the tools you have, do not make that obstacle limit your creativity. Because the important thing is to practice and practise more, in order to continue learning and enjoyng photography. I recognize that my camera is not enough for certain types of photographs, but it is allowing me to learn a lot. On the other hand, participating in Viewbug´s challenges and contests helps you improve, because some challenges or contests propose topics that you had not thought of before.
