Location
The photo was taken in Pantanal, BrazilTime
Picture was taken in the evening before the sunset.Lighting
I just wanted to take a picture of this cute tiny owl in the evening light. I was lucky that the owl chose for his "evening patrol" this part of the fence with the tree behind him which helped to create the bokeh.Equipment
Canon 5Dmark III, 400/2.8 - no tripod, no flashInspiration
I like owls and it is not easy to get close to them and take pictures, my only desire was just to have a nice picture of this tiny owl.Editing
I just cropped the photo a bit and increase the clarity on the owl a bitIn my camera bag
always a Canon body, 16-35, 70-200 or 100-400 and or 400/500 long lense. Sometimes I add 100 macro lens, extra cards and bateries.Feedback
Since this owl is shy it is better to try to find one that lives closer to people and is a bit used to the human presence so it does not fly away as soon as you appear.
