I was in Bejing Zoo in China to see the pandas and I came upon a huge enclosure which contained many monkeys, baboons and orangutans. The contained enclosure was quite beautiful with many trees, pools of water and a waterfall. Among all this I noticed this little family unit huddled together. Their expressions is what really caught my attention. The mother and baby were both huddled against the father and seemed very sad and upset about something. The father seemed to be comforting both of them. The emotions and connection the three had for each other was amazing and it made me wonder what could have happened to make them appear so sad.
