The most characteristic aspect of the whole valley and its side valleys is the enormous extension of the rocky walls that appear smooth, clear and bright and create a very particular landscape pushing from the highest peaks, which exceed three thousand meters, up to lick the valley floor below a thousand meters of altitude. The lithological nature of the area, largely characterized by a granite rock called giandone, very compact and suitable for climbing, combined precisely with the extension of the rocky walls, make the Val di Mello one of the destinations chosen by climbers. Its characteristics make it an attractive destination for hikers, mountaineers and mountain lovers.
