It’s here that, a hundred years ago, the Canton of Graubünden’s first ever panoramic mountain was made accessible to tourists by cable car. The maiden journey was on 9 August 1907, with the cable car covering a distance of 2201 metres and an incline of up to 56%. The first passengers were left breathless and, presumably, they remained so when they first caught sight of the views from above.
