Location
I was visiting the Memphis Zoo for the first time, and one of the exhibits had this Cape Vulture that was staring at me. He was pretty close to the fence, so I got as close as I could, and zoomed in on the eye.Time
It was a full day of walking around the zoo, and checking out all the different animals. I believe this one was taken around midday, but it's hard to fully keep track when you're keeping an eye on your kids, and trying to take pictures at the same time.Lighting
Not really. I didn't quite know what I was doing when I took this, but got pretty lucky.Equipment
Canon Rebel t5 and the 70-300mm lens that came with it.Inspiration
His eyes were just so captivating, that I had to focus in on them.Editing
Just some basic cropping and sharpening. Not a lot of processing. In my camera bag
I recently got a Canon SL3 and always have my 50mm and 70-300mm lens on me.Feedback
It was a right place, right time kind of capture.
