I was planning to go see the hot air balloons take off early morning during the Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival, but I did not get up early enough. But at about 8 a.m. that day, I looked out the window of my house and balloons were all around passing over my head. Some were so close and so low that they more then filled the frame of my 300mm. It was neat. You could hear the burners and the people on board saying hello back to us. It was a sight to see. I was so glad that the wind blew in the direction of our neighbourhood and gave us this great air show.
