Location
I took the picture in the garden of our house in Parwich,Derbyshire. We have since moved and the Goldfinches are not so frequent in our new gardenTime
It was some time ago when I took the picture but I remember I was shooting from a first floor window.Lighting
Not really.Though to catch the movement correctly there were a number of experiments!Equipment
I used a Canon 7D with a Canon Zoom 100-400mm lensInspiration
Like many people I was attracted to Goldfinches by their striking colour. However I did notice when they were feeding they did not like being disturbed by other birds . A blur of colour and birds seemed to flying all over the place. It was not until I got my camera that I could really see what was going on. It revealed another side of Goldfinch behaviour to me!Editing

My Canon 7D,Zoom lens, kit lens, flash gun, tripod, remote control, and instruction book!Feedback
From my experience I find I rarely get it right first time. Read up about it, experiment and talk to other photographers.
