I had just sat down to drink my tea and looked outside and immediately got back up to go outside and take a photo of these 2 beauties!

On our way into Breckenridge, CO from Frisco.

Behind The Lens

Location

I was a girls weekend with my aunts, cousins, sisters and mom at Cass Lake, Minnesota. We all love going for walks! This area is beautiful!

Time

It may have been in the late morning. It was early fall, like the first or second weekend in October.

Lighting

It was natural lighting with lots of trees all around.

Equipment

I was using a Nikon D40 at the time which I loved using! The lens was AF-S NIKKOR 18-55mm.

Inspiration

I prefer taking picture of things in nature with natural lighting and there were a lot of these mushrooms all over this area. This cluster hadn't really started the process of rolling up the black underside that much. So they had just a nice little black line and we're still very intact.

Editing

No major post processing that I remember! If anything I may have cropped it a little.

In my camera bag

I don't have much in my bag...my camera is a Nikon D5100 and the lens' that I take with me are NIKKOR 55-300mm, 18-55mm, 55-200mm and a 35mm. A remote and a few filters which I don't use a lot of with the exception of the uv filter.

Feedback

I take a lot of pictures of the same thing from many different angles. You can always delete the bad ones! Also you may have to get on the ground and get a little dirty but it is so worth the end result!
