I took this photo a short walk from my house. The cabin was built many years ago and kept up throughout the years. I love finding little gems like this on hikes and love even more sharing this with everyone.Time
One of my favorite photos i have taken in my very beginning stages of taking pictures. Time of day was mid afternoon on a beautiful summer afternoon hike with my children and another friend.Lighting
I wanted this image to showcase the cabin in its glory. The sun was at the perfect angle to give the appearance that the sun was only there for the cabin.Equipment

I stumbled across the cabin not knowing exactly where it was. I had heard about it but never been there. When I did find it, i took a bunch of pictures from different angles inside and out of the cabin.Editing
I did do some touch up on my computer later on using an editing program called Gimp 2.0. I didnt havr to do too much as it was almost exactly what i wanted it to look like.In my camera bag

My only advice coming from a very beginner photographer. Just get out there and take as many pictures as you can. Play with the settings and tske the same scene with the different settings. So far that is all i have done. I am so far self taught and have a long ways to go. I always have way more terrible pictures to go through but many are just what I wanted. Play with it and have a blast.
