Location
I took this picture near my home town on a sunny dayTime
It's was in the morning when the sunlight was shining between the tree branchesLighting
Because the owl was sitting on a big tree branch under the leaves there was a nice diffuse lightEquipment
I used my Canon 700D camera with a budget 55-250 lens. With an appeture between F6.7 and F8 (hotspot} this lens gives me nice sharp images for a budget lens.Inspiration
I normally love to take archtectual pictures. But for 2 years now I love the details that are visible on birds of prey because I got a chance to come close to these birds.Editing
Post processing is mostly a bit of sharpening because my lenses aren't that good. Maybe a little bit of saturation and more brightness n the center of the pictureIn my camera bag
I normally carry my 700D with three lenses with me. 10-18, 18-55 and a 55-250mm all Canon. When I anticipate darker places my flash Nissin 866mks is also in rhe bag. That's about all I have got.Feedback
If you're trying to make this kind of pictures, wait for a bit of shade. Use the hotspot appature of your lens. Try to get both eyes in your shot and have your lens at the same hight as the eyes of you bird.. When it's possible no objects behind your subject. Try to find matching colors in the background by moving around.
