Location
I took this photo in Rotterdam, Netherlands.Time
This photo was taken on May 23rd, at 1:24 pm. My group and I had just gotten our bike rentals and we were riding through neighborhoods on our way to get lunch. This spectacular building was located at the very end of the neighborhood, and we had a perfect view from the moment we turned down the street.Lighting
The lighting in this photo was quite interesting. The afternoon sun is always delightful, especially on a bike in the Netherlands!Equipment
This shot was taken on an iPhone, no other equipment was used here.Inspiration
This building was positioned at the end of the long road in a beautiful neighborhood. I was in awe of this building and was unaware of just how large it was until I came right up on it at the end of the street! I loved the architecture of this building so much, the depth was spectacular.Editing
I didn't do any post-processing for this shot!In my camera bag
First and foremost, I always have my iPhone in hand. The quality of the camera is great, and for quick, spontaneous photos such as this one, I always make sure to have it within my reach. I also make sure to pack my Canon EOS Rebel T4i with a 55-250mm lens attached. Finally, I always pack a sturdy tripod for long-exposure shots!Feedback
When I am taking my photos, I will typically try various angles and experiment with the light. However, this shot was an incredibly lucky one. I was on a bike, riding with my group and I had only one shot to capture this beautiful building. Some shots require patience and experimentation. However, some shots may surprise you by what can be captured in the spur of the moment. Always have your camera (or phone) on hand ready for anything!
