I had taken this picture on a trip when I was back at the place where I had most of my childhood. Football is my favourite sport back then. Looking at this torn ball just reminded me how my life transformed from that of a playful kid to a worrisome adult.

Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo at Barracuda Beach Resort in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. It was my first trip to the beach since I bought my camera.Time
It was in the summer, we had reached the beach by afternoon, and were just settling down, which was when I noticed the football.Lighting
The scorching sun and the reflections from the sand were enough to set the mood for a game of ball in this shot.Equipment
This piece of memory was shot using a regular kit lens and Nikon D5300.Inspiration
The ball in the picture made me remember all the childhood matches I played with my brother and friends. There were times when the ball would get punctured, and yet the game continued. Nobody cared about it, as the main focus was score a goal.Editing
This image didn't require much post-processing. All that was required was to reduce the exposure by a few steps. In my camera bag
My equipment is quite standard and not so extravagant. All I own is a 18-55mm kit lens, and 50mm prime and a Nikon D5300 camera.Feedback
Observe your surroundings. There is a lot of symmetry in nature and there are always objects available to take a shot at, when looked close enough.
