Location
This photo was taken just north of Montrose, Scotland and this tree has now fallen over during a storm last year. I loved to use this tree in photos due to its age and its separation from the forest. It was awesome shelter while doing astrophotography and looks great when the northern lights are used is the background.Time

i was heading to capture sunrise from the river esk and was passing the tree and noticed that it looked awesome with the Alignment of Jupiter, Mars, Venus And Orion and was not leaving without a photo of the moment.Editing
i had to edit out a telegraph pole and adjusted the levels slightly to to enhance the sky and darken the foreground. i prefer to not do much editing in photoshop and get it right in the camera.In my camera bag

Go to your locations in the light before wondering round in the dark or with touches as some areas are very hazardous in the dark. a very sturdy tripod for long exposures is required especially in the Scottish wind. use google maps to check alignments of foreground objects and where celestial events will be happening in the sky
