Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken on a spring day as five baby Carolina Wrens hatched in a plant on our front porch. I had been watching intently and when I saw Mom calling for them to come out I immediately grabbed my camera to hopefully catch them in the act. I followed as they all began to make their way out of the nest to Moms calling. I happened to get lucky and caught this little one at just the right time.

Time

It was mid morning on a Saturday and I was finishing my second cup of coffee when this great opportunity presented itself

Lighting

It was mid morning and I was actually in the woods with part shade and part sun

Equipment

Canon 60D with my standard 128 walk around lens. I didn’t have time to change it!!

Inspiration

I love birds and taking their pictures. Getting better at bird photography has helped in other forms

Editing

Light touches in Lightroom. Fortunately not a lot was needed
