OUTSTANDING! I appreciate your giving us a title and I was able to find the location in your Tags. I feel locations are important for photos the world is not familiar with.

Outstanding shot!! As you say, this shot really shows the massive size and power of the sea that day. Works so well in B&W. Congrats on your Challenge win!!

Location
This photo was taken in Porthleven, Cornwall, UK in October of last year. Storm 'Ophelia' was hitting this coastline in Cornwall. I had a day off, and drove down to this place, specifically to see if I could get a decent shot of the angry seas. There are many many photo's of Porthleven when the seas are big, but I got luck on this one, as it's an unusual shot in as much as this depicts just how big those angry waves were. Most of the photo's taken at this place in stormy weather are of the Church being completely submerged by waves... so I just got lucky I guess.. Thanks to all of you who voted for my photo...Time
This was taken at 'high tide' about 2.45pm on that day. I'd waited for this time and hoped that it would still be really wild...Lighting
I really wanted to make this photo look as dramatic as possible, hence black and white, as it gives a punch on lighting, in fact the sun was shining. Just love black and white!Equipment
Shot with a Nikon D7000 and a 70-300 Nikkor Prime lens.. such a versatile lens. All the pictures I took on that day were handheld, it was super windy, so a tripod never would have been possible..Inspiration
I have always wanted to be a able to take a dramatic 'stormy sea' shot, and was just very fortunate to be off on this day and able to get down to Porthleven. I took a lot of shots on the day, frankly, I had to be dragged away in the end.. sorry that I could not get down there again for Hurricane Brian, who arrived a few weeks later... I love the sea, but have a huge respect for Mother Nature, it's so fantastic to be able to capture the power of the ocean.Editing
I changed this photo from colour to Black and White and added a little more contrast, that's really all I did to this...In my camera bag
I have a Nikon D7000 and a handful of lenses, I would love to be able to spend more time taking photo's, work just gets in the way really, am guessing there are a lot of people out there who feel the same!!Feedback
I don't really feel that I am 'good enough' to give others advice really. Just always make sure you are fully charged with all your batteries, always carry a spare.. I always shoot in RAW and Jpeg, as you just never know when you will really take a good shot that you may wish to do something with...
