Behind The Lens

Location

The shot was taken on Romney Marsh in Kent, England. I'm lucky to live near to this marvellous landscape and take regular cycle rides across it's country lanes.

Time

The shot was taken mid morning towards the end of Summer on a blustery but warm day.

Lighting

The lighting was nature's own and due to the changeable nature of the weather on that day afforded some dramatic and quickly changing cloud formations.

Equipment

I took this with my iPhone as I didn't have my camera with me on that day.

Inspiration

Just the wonderful position of the darker cloud that had pitched itself above me. The contrast was visually exciting.

Editing

The picture is totally natural.

In my camera bag

Two trusty Pentax's - my beautiful roll film K1000 and my trusty digital K100D. But I most admit that I tend to find myself using either my iPhone or my iPad these days due to their convenience, especially when out on my bike.

Feedback

I think the only advice I can give is to always be ready to grab the shot. You never know what May lie around the corner.
