I shot this in Yellow Waters Billabong in Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia last month. It was very tricky! These guys move fast and don't stay still for long as they dart to the water and back as they chase small fish. I had this beautiful bird on my photography bucket list and my dreams came true when it appeared as the boat I was on ventured close into the bank on our short tour of Yellow Waters. It is a wonderful example of the beauty of nature and celebrates how she uses colour with such great design! Orange and blue is such a great combination! I was particularly pleased to sharply capture the water droplets detail on the bird's feathers.
