Family Party in Princeton, NJ. Celebrating the last days of summer.
I'm learning so much about photography just by taking lots of pictures. Sometimes before shooting I make a clean sweep to remove objects that make the composition too "busy". However in this informal, unposed shot , I like how the objects tell the story: the open sketch pad, flip-flops that look like they are about to walk on their own, the discarded plate of food, the cluster of people in the background.
