This is our fantabulous Gulf of Mexico beach at sunset, near Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The sand is really this white - it's called 'sugar beach'. The sand is actually ground up quartz, leading to the pure whiteness. The gulf is a clear aquamarine with a white sand bottom. Our beaches have been in the top ten list generated every year by the famous Dr. Beach.
