This was taken at Strathmore Lodge on the Thurso River looking to the mountains in the South East of Caithness.

My dad said this looked like Edinburgh in the 1950's. I though about the modern transport and the different buildings built throughout Edinburgh&

The abandoned Dalnawillan Lodge on the Thurso River. This was once a hunting lodge. It appears to be in a good condition.

Taken in an overgrown cemetary this Red Admiral Butterfly was one of many different species.

This is the Far North line to Wick and Thurso at Altnabreac. I had to cross it on a Mountain Biking run.

This is a superb example of a Celtic Cross in an old Cemetary. The cemetary is overgrown and this cross looks majestic rising above the undergrowth.

This was taken with the sun backlighing it giving the shadow of the stalk across it and giving it's deep redish orange colour.

Taken on a beautiful spring day on Thurso River. This is a popular walk with the locals. This area is about 10 minutes walk from the Town centre. 2 mi
