It was taken during a long period of settled weather which meant there was a lot dust in the air. Which gave it it's misty retro feel.Equipment

I don't carry very much. One camera with 18 - 400mm zoom, 10 - 20mm zoom, mini tripod, cleaning equipment and spare battery.Feedback
Timing was the main factor here, just before sunset, pick the right spot and try various positions and focal lengths to find the best composition. That day a student studying photography said landscapes are boring, she does portraiture, I said to her "In portraits you control the light, in landscapes the light controls you!"
