Originally intending to produce an image more like a landscape, I didn’t plan to include any figures but I knew that the street was busy enough with pedestrians that it was likely that people would cross the street during some of my exposures.
There were a number of shots like this that I made but this is the one that was taken most viscerally and meeting the expectations of street photography. So, this one made it into Hammer Home Street Photography Project.
This composition has similar atmosphere and mood to one of my other shots; ”One Chilly Winter Morning.”
