Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken down on the Snake River, there is only water flowing like this in the spring.

Time

I like to walk down by the river in the spring when the water is flowing over the spill way. Not sure what time of the day it was, probably later afternoon.

Lighting

The lighting is after the harsh sun light had moved to the other side of the river and was ready to start setting

Equipment

Nikon with a tripod but not sure what settings I was using

Inspiration

Our town was moved up from the river so the Bureau of Reclamation could put in the dam and all that is left below the dam is the old power house. It's a feature of our community.

Editing

Raised up the shadows and lowered the highlights.

In my camera bag

I always have my Nikon and a tripod, extra batteries.

Feedback

The best time is late afternoon in the spring sometime between April and May.
