Third in my set of images from Two Temple Place, the Victorian mansion situated along London's Embankment.
This is a look-up captured beneath the hall's stained-glass skylight, taking in the sweeping oak-and-mahogany staircase and statues of each of the Three Musketeers, who were the central characters in William Waldorf Astor's favourite novel. Above them is a frieze with more than 80 characters from Shakespeare's plays.
