I was walking along Lake Wanaka looking for this iconic tree at the lakeside and checking out for any sign board for it. I met a German guy in the process, and we started chit chating and he showed me the way. We walked to the edge of the lake, started discuss on the tree and took photos together. So that's how this tree with a great snowy mountain background came about.
