Dahihandi celebration was happening around 17 places in Kharghar area. In Navi Mumbai, they gave permission for Dahihandis on playgrounds and open spaces to avoid using public roads. This is one the biggest chowk and parking area where i captured this picture. Due to heavy rains they delayed the celebration and finally started at evening. It was 70th independence day and Janmashtami on the same day and people celebrated it whole day by playing both patriotic as well as dahihandi festival songs on loudspeakers later traffic noise added in it. It was a colourful, noisy celebration, full of enthusiastic Dahihandi groups gathering for Dahihandi competition.
