Two Temple Place is a magnificent neo-Gothic mansion situated along Embankment. It was designed by John Loughborough Pearson in 1892 as the lavish residence for affluent American William Waldorf Astor, and remains one of the most opulent interiors in London. Today, the space serves as a venue for cultural and philanthropic activity, as well as an opulent setting for corporate and private events.

This vertorama captures the main staircase, which leads from the marble vestibule to the Great Hall and Library on the first floor, and which features carvings and engravings from the ground to the ceiling that intricately depict characters from Astor's favourite plays and novels, including Othello and The Three Musketeers.
