Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo from Wahat Al Karama. They have something like a stadium there and in the center of this an area with 3cm of water creating this nice reflection.

Time

Was exactly after sunset.

Lighting

I took a lot of photos of that area since I was there before sunset. I think i have at least another 2 photos equally beautiful as this but different light contitions.

Equipment

Just and APSC Nikon D7200 with a Tokina 11-16mm f.2.8 lens. The combination is great and can give great results. Sharpness and colors are not different from a good full frame as you can see.

Inspiration

I went there with my friends. One of them heard about this location and we decided to give a try.

Editing

I used Lightroom. I use to say that the final photo is 50% composition and other photographer skills and the other 50% is the post processing afterwards. I am Electronic Engineer/IT and very familiar with software. I early noticed that software's like Lightroom can transform an average image to a masterpiece.

In my camera bag

My Nikon D7200, a Sigma 17-50mm F2.8, Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 and a 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR. But I have another 2 prime lenses for portraits.

Feedback

I always keep the settings of my photos visible to others in order to see and copy if they wish to preproduce same photos. An extra tip is to disable lens VR when in tripod(creates blurry results). Also in case they don't know how to use Lightroom they should watch Lightroom tutorials on YouTube. That will improve a lot their photos.
