I saw in the local newspaper that there was going to be a "horse show" at the fairgrounds. Turns out that it was a Junior Rodeo competition. Fun! I saw with about 50 parents who were there. Barrel racing was the only event, so I got settled and aimed my camera right at the barrel and waited for the right moment.Editing
I used only the sliders on Photos to slightly adjust contrast and cropping.In my camera bag
I carry two Sonys: an a6000 and a Nex-6. I have several extra memory cards and batteries. Sometimes I put these things in a hip pack with my ID, $20 and a credit card. I usually shoot close to home, so I don't have to carry much.Feedback
I love to shoot local events, so I am very attentive to what exactly is going on in my home town or towns very close by. For this particular photo, I was a bit assertive to sit with parents rather than in the rodeo stands. I could not have gotten this shot just sitting in the stands.
