Location
I took this photo within Rocky Mountain National Park close to Estes park, Colorado.Time
This was late afternoon, early evening - definitely quickly approaching sunset, as you can see the light intensely hitting the top of the mountain in this photo.Lighting
I believe this particular evening there was a storm rolling through, so the skies were overcast, but as we approached sunset time I happened to capture this magnificent mountain bathed in intense light.Equipment
I shot with my only camera body, my Canon 60D and I believe this shot was just with my kit lens.Inspiration
If you CAN'T find inspiration everywhere you look in the Rocky Mountains, I don't think you can call yourself a photographer!Editing
I brought up the shadows just a tad to make the picture match what I actually saw in front of me, but otherwise no post-processing whatsoever. In my camera bag
Not a whole lot! My Canon 60D, kit lens, 50mm, and a few different zooms along with an Opteka wide angle, but these days most of my shooting is done with the kit lens or my 50mm.Feedback
When in Rome (or in the Rocky Mountains), just remember to look around! ;)
