Location
This photo was taken in Banff, Alberta, Canada during our summer vacation.Time
This was taken at 7:27 AM on August 16, 2013. It was a peaceful and cool morning, and I was walking on top of the bridge and had to capture this serene moment.Lighting
I admired the lighting of the sky and the reflection in the water, and I wanted to emphasize the colours in those spots. Therefore, I used Adobe Lightroom to enhance the colour and light for the sky and water.Equipment
For this photo, I used the Sony A77 camera along with my Tamron lens (28-75 mm, 2.8 lens), and the zoom setting was at 35 mm. I used the tripod to get a steady shot, with no flash so I could capture the natural light.Inspiration
I was looking for scenery where I could emphasize lighting and colour. Being in Banff, I wanted a shot with lots of nature in it.Editing
As mentioned previously, I used Adobe Lightroom to enhance the colours and lighting. In my camera bag
In my bag, I always have my Sony A77 camera, two zoom lenses, one macrolense, a flash, tripod, and extra battery.Feedback
Take advantage of sunrises. Not only does waking up early get your day going, but there is something so peaceful about the early mornings while the sun is rising and nature is still, that is so admirable.
