I woke up at half past 3 a.m with one goal in mind: get to Moraine Lake for sunrise. I was staying in Golden, nearly one-and-a-half hours away from the lake, and knew that I had to get on the road as soon as possible to make it in time. The temperature was brisk, but it was so peaceful. I set up my camera and waited for the first rays of light to hit the seven peaks towering over the stunning turquoise water. Boom. It was like witnessing the lighting of magnificent torches on the mountain tops. I captured this shot and watched as the rest of the landscape was engulfed in the sun's light.

Settings-Equipment:
-Nikon D3300 w- 18-70mm f-3.5-5.6 (set at 18mm)
-ISO: 200
-Shutter: 1-50"
-Aperture: f-5.0
