I don't remember a night when I had seen the stars so clearly, before this night. The hike to the arch was brightly lit by the moon, negating the use of a headlamp. The time: around 12:30 a.m. I waited. The moon made its way over towards the horizon and began to fade out of view close to 2:15. And wow. The stars. It was a breathtaking sight with the naked eye, and I couldn't wait to capture what I was witnessing and more. The Milky Way stemmed out of the arch and the light from the setting moon created an ethereal orange glow. It was a sight to behold. A night I won't forget.
