Behind The Lens

Location

Italy, ComoLake, "Fontana di Villa Geno", during the lakeside promenade between Villa Olmo and Villa Geno in Como

Time

6:30 PM - Summertime: Juli, 16 2017

Lighting

I took this picture using the mobile phone: - 2 STOP of exposition to emphasize the backlight effect

Equipment

I was not walking with the usual camera (my little girl), so I used the phone: Samsung Galacy Note2 (GT-N7100)

Inspiration

The inspiration for the photo came from the alignment between the spray of the fountain, bent by the wind, with the sun, the wait for the passage of a small boat makes the shot more complete.

Editing

No filter, no post-processing

In my camera bag

I currently have three "little girls" so I call the cameras: For serious jobs: Canon EOS 7D Mark II; Canon EF 70-200mm f1:4 L USM (Very fast in the focus and very sharp); Canon EF 28-70mm f1:2.8 L USM (my favorite MY 2000 (!!)); Canon EF 17-40mm F1:4 L USM; Canon Speedlite 430EX (I do not like to use the flash); Giottos tripod MH-1003 (with his bag, compact and light); Lowepro Computrekker AW; Lowepro EX180 (very compact but very strong). For backup: a body Canon EOS 40D and Canon EOS 300D Digital with standard lens 18-55. Now I have also changed phone, I replaced the old Samsung Note2 with a new Samsung SM-G960F

Feedback

A normal backlight. The phone has no diaphragm, but allows you to underexpose: sensitivity to minimum (ISO 80) and at least - 2 STOP. The subjects become dark silhuette and the sky becomes ultramarine blue.
