This bull bison was content to be photographed from a very close distance in the Custer State Park near Mt. Rushmore, South Dakota, United States. But my grandchildren got a little too comfortable with his seemingly benign disposition and sweet-looking eyes and started to run toward him. His peaceful countenance changed quickly and I had to stop them before he decided to display his natural defensive actions, which could have been quite disastrous.
