Behind The Lens

Location

I took this cracking shot at Uluru while travelling with family through Central Australia in the outback, iam a self taught landscape photographer and iam so inspired to have captured a awesome photo like this

Time

This awesome shot was taken at sunset with all but a few minutes before the sun went down

Lighting

The light in this cracking shot was all natural, having the sun hit the rock was important because it lights it up with that iconic red colour you see so I was very lucky that with all the cloud cover around that the sun came through the clouds all but for a few seconds lighting up the rock and it made it glow red

Equipment

This was shot on a Inca tripod with a Samsung wb250f compact camera with a wide angle 24mm lens, f3.2, 1/300of a sec iso 400

Inspiration

The sheer colour when the sun hits the rock and the landscapes surrounding it. Australia is truly a landscape photographers paradise if your looking for inspiration just like I did here

Editing

Yes this was done in camera before taking the final shot all I did was increase the saturation and contrast I didn't need to do anything else except for the shutter speed and iso and f stop

In my camera bag

I have my tripod batteries camera photo cards cleaning cloth as being Iam using a compact camera I don't have the need to carry lenses with me

Feedback

Take your time ,have patience because in a shot like this timing is key with alot of cloud around,, you need the sun to hit the rock producing the bright red colour it's renowned for at sun set making your photos really popular amongst family and friends
