i took this amazing shot on seven mile beach gerroa on the new south wales south coast of Australia 2hrs from the center of sydney this is my most favorite place to be we have been holidaying here for more than 40years as a family and we still come here to this dayTime
we were walking along the beach in the afternoon as a family to watch the amazing sunset this place is renowned for ,when I took this amazing shot ,everyone loves so muchLighting
i wanted to give the audience the feeling of being here with me at the time ,i took one image in auto mode then used the photo information, switched to manual mode adjusted the settings to eliminate the glare before taking the final shot of this amazing sunset you see before you camera info ,,camera:samsung wb250f iso:200 f stop 3.5 shutter :1/350 on a trypodEquipment
i used a samsung wb250f compact camera with a samsung 24mm wide angle lens 16mega pixels 18 optical zoom to 36digital zoom 4.0-72.0mm f3.2-7.2 shutter 1/200sec-16sec on a trypod using both Auto and manual settingsInspiration
i hit a rough patch in my life suffering anxiety and depression,i found photography helped me over come it and iam now able to move on with my life,,i love the challenge as a amateur photographer,,i have the saying ,,my camera challenges me and i challenge it,,iam now starting to sell my work and i send half the proceeds of each photo to the black dog institute to help young people with anxiety and depression i never thought being a amateur photographer would change my life,,i now love what I do and i wouldn't change it for the worldEditing
i did edit this image slightly with my camera as it has built in contrast saturation exposure temperature ect and you can set these settings before taking the final shotIn my camera bag
spare batteries (very important ) my trypod ,camera, go pro cleaning cloth because it is a compact camera that's all i need i am yet to get a drone and up grade my camera but i just don't know which one yet at this stageFeedback
take your time do some research on utube on what pacific shot u want to take and practice practice practice love what you do ,play with the settings on your camera,,when taking pictures towards the sun, take one shot in auto mode use the photo info, switch to manual mode set everything back 3 stops then take a another photo that's how I got this amazing shot
