Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the Massachusetts coast at Halibut Point State Park. My wife had run up ahead of me and I couldn't miss the moment.

Time

It was in the heart of a summer afternoon.

Lighting

The bright afternoon sun was all the lighting that I needed.

Equipment

I shoot with a Canon Rebel SL1 with the standard 18-55 lens. Nothing fancy!

Inspiration

Since I was moving slower along the path, I had the advantage of perspective. Once I had caught up with her, she mentioned how the view took her breath away. I like to think this is that moment.

Editing

I always start with a simple "auto" contrast. With this photo, I liked it so I ended up leaving it there.

In my camera bag

I carry a Canon Rebel SL1 with a 18-55 lens and a 75-300 lens. I recently added a 50mm lens as well. That's it! Photography is a craft that I'm still learning.

Feedback

If you're exploring the world with people, don't be afraid to lag behind. You might just like the perspective!
