When we crawled out of our tent next to this gorgeous glacier that morning we knew it was going to be an epic sunrise. The clouds had been rolling in over night covering the Hooker Valley and Mt Cook Village far below, but at 2200 meters above sea level we were some of the few high enough to get to enjoy the light show.
