Would love to know what this is as I'm sure I had one in my house last week

And here was I, hoping you could tell me! :0) I've looked in all my nature books and online, and am still unable to name it. It's a large bug, about an inche long.

The one in my house was munching on a box of books I thought it might be a carpentry been or masonry been but isn't exactly like either. Probably need to ask an entomologist. I would send your pictures to the nearest university that studies bugs
